Infrastructure Fund - Abu Dhabi As CEO, Mr Johnston launched on behalf of the Abu Dhabi Emirate, the first Infrastructure Fund in the Middle East with the Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) and Macquarie Bank as Joint Venture Partners. The Fund had a capitalization value of 1 Billion Dhr's and included many of the Projects listed.

International Gateway Proposal. On returning from overseas this major new venture was put together for formal consideration by both the Northern Territory and Commonwealth Governments.

Description: Whole City Block on Darling Harbour waterfront. Included 357 waterfront apartments, new office towers, Vibe Hotel and numerous restaurants and bars. Major infrastructure consisting of a new private charter fleet base, and an underground terminal for buses & coaches servicing Sydney.

Sydney 2000 (Chairman 1.5 years)

Description: Redevelopment of Central Railway Precinct and refurbishment of the Heritage Post Office into a Vibe Hotel. Three new office towers for Government employees and a new mall for restaurants and underground access to George Street.

Description: Redevelopment of a redundant Hospital and Heritage site into a new Justice Precinct, comprising Childrens Courts, District Courts, 5 star Administration H/Q for Attorney Generals and Community Health Clinic. Also Archeological interpretation and heritage restoration.
